Custom Lightweight Professional Dolly System

This custom dolly package was designed as a professional, lightweight, and cost-effective alternative to traditional motion picture dollies.

At its core is a custom aluminum cheese plate platform dolly—manufactured by Modern Studio Equipment—featuring precision-machined 4-way steering. The platform measures 28 1/4″ x 51″ and includes dual push bars, a pull bar, and four leveling legs for enhanced stability.

Our modified configuration includes a removable, center-mounted turnstile base equipped with 25mm seat studs and a Euro camera base. This base is designed with a locking lever mechanism to allow secure rotation and locking of the seat studs during operation.

Accessories include:

Bazooka risers (gas, crank or fixed avail.)
Precision 3-way Mitchell leveling mount (MovieTech- made in Germany)
Various offsets and camera support adapters- compatible with Mitchell, 100mm bowl, and 75mm bowl mounting options

For track-based movement, we recommend using Porta-Glide skate wheel sleds. These feature an advanced design that eliminates the common issue of flat spots often found in traditional skateboard-style wheels. These are the smoothest dolly sleds in the industry.

This setup is also well-suited for compact jib arms and camera sliders, offering flexibility and robust performance in a compact footprint. (jib weight must be rated at 200kg / 440 lbs. max)
