Geronimo Creek is proud to announce an expansion to our “beauty” lighting inventory, featuring the K5600 Kurve umbrella. We now carry the 2′, 3′, 4.5′, 6′ & 7′ sizes. K5600 designed the Kurve series heads to work seamlessly with the 1600w or 800w joker bug heads. We also carry a tungsten joker head, specifically designed for the Kurve focus tubes. These kits include 2000w, 1000w or 500w tungsten globes. We even carry tungsten balanced 800w HMI globes, which has an output exceeding that of a 2000w. All of these items are in stock and ready to rent at Geronimo Creek!

The K5600 Kurve: A New Standard for Large Parabolic Reflectors
K5600 has developed a new umbrella system to compete directly with the renowned Briese and Broncolor heads. The shape and fabric quality of the umbrellas are identical, yet the D-series Kurves are large parabolic reflectors that transform your Joker from the smallest to the largest light on set.

Focusable Versatility: Five Sizes for Infinite Lighting Scenarios
Available in five different diameters (2, 3, 4.5, 6, and 7 feet), Kurve reflectors are focusable and adaptable to the abundant number of Jokers on the market, along with infinite other fixtures—from flash to incandescent lighting. Each kit includes two focus tubes: one for dedicated Joker heads and an alternate hollow tube with a baby pin to route cables through the back of the umbrella.
Cinematic Light Quality: Superior Wrapping and Distinct Shadows
The unique shape and size of the Kurve provide beautiful, even, focusable light with distinctive highlights. While softboxes are often soft and flat, the Kurve delivers a distinct light over large areas with excellent shadows. It creates a light quality perfect for rich, beautiful shots and a signature sparkle in the eye.
Streamlined Setup: Patented Multi-Cam Hardware and Robust Fabrics
Every K5600 Kurve Kit includes the essential items to get the job done in one case. The patented multi-cam system requires only a simple push and turn for a setup that takes seconds. To handle the rigors of the Los Angeles rental environment, the outer skin is made from a robust Technora blend, while the soft silver interior eliminates the rings and shadow aberrations found in many faceted reflectors.
Advanced Mounting and Diffusion: The Yoke Mount with Integrated Crank
The yoke mount features internal, machined gears that allow for smooth movement across nearly 180 degrees. It is adaptable to both baby and junior stands. While the Kurve’s raw light is stunning, three diffusers of varying densities are included for those who require an “extra” soft look.
H/T Focus Tubes and Tungsten-Balanced Options
The H/T Focus Tube is specifically designed for the Joker 800 and Joker 1600, acting as a giant pin extender. For added versatility, a 2000W tungsten focus tube is also available, which can be re-lamped at 1000W or 500W to match any color temperature requirements on location.
Pro-Gaffer Tip: When using the 7-foot Kurve, the Yoke Mount Crank is essential for maintaining control of the tilt—would you like to add a safety note about balancing the head on a Mombo Combo stand?
